“Jesus was known of them in the breaking of the bread”
-Luke 24:35
We gather so that we can experience the dream of God for all creation, a dream peace, justice and love. We gather so that we will have the strength and courage to be the presence of God wherever life takes us. We gather so that we can give God thanks for our days. There’s something mystical, even magical, about singing, praying and sharing bread and wine that brings us closer to each other and closer to God.
At St. Luke’s worship is where the center of the spiritual journey. It is our beginning and our end. Worship at St. Luke’s is a relaxed and joy filled experience where you will find new friends and meaning for your journey. There is ritual but it’s not stiff or stuffy.
We follow the customs and traditions of our rich heritage and also add new and contemporary elements to the experience. The intention of our worship is to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible. We don’t want you fumbling with books so everything, with exception of the music, is contained in the service bulletin that you will receive when you enter. And don’t be concerned about doing the “right” thing in worship. There is no “right” or “wrong”. Just be and breathe and know that you are loved beyond all imagining.
